Ayurveda emphasizes the importance of breastfeeding, ensuring the mother follows a nourishing diet, and introducing solid foods gradually. Establishing routines for feeding, sleeping, and playtime creates a sense of security. Natural remedies can address common baby issues like colic, diaper rash, and teething discomfort, and using natural fabrics like cotton for clothing keeps the baby warm and comfortable. Traditional Ayurvedic rituals, adequate sleep, and a loving, stress-free environment are also key components. This session always prioritizes your child’s safety and well-being in any parenting approach. Join our team to learn more and support your baby’s growth and happiness.

Session 7
In for Indriya
- A womb connection
- Know your senses
Ayurveda, an ancient system of medicine, views pregnancy as a unique and sacred journey in a woman’s life, emphasizing the balance and well-being of the “indriyas” (senses) and their connection to the womb. Our “In for Indriyas” session explores this journey through Ayurveda’s perspective. Ayurveda advises pregnant women to protect and nurture their senses, creating a harmonious environment for the developing baby. For smell (Gandha), avoid strong odors and surround yourself with soothing, natural scents. For taste (Rasa), maintain a balanced diet with all six tastes, focusing on warm, easy-to-digest foods. For touch (Sparsha), gentle self-massage with warm oils promotes relaxation and skin health. For sound (Shabda), play soft, soothing music and avoid loud noises. For sight (Rupa), engage in serene and pleasant visuals, spending time in nature. Ayurveda also emphasizes the womb connection, believing the baby is aware of the mother’s physical and emotional state. Thus, maintaining emotional balance through meditation, prayer, or calming rituals is vital. Join our team to learn more and embrace this holistic approach to pregnancy.

In Ayurveda, postpartum depression is understood as a manifestation of imbalances in a woman’s doshas (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha), which can be exacerbated during the postpartum period due to hormonal fluctuations and stress.
It’s essential to consult with a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner who can provide personalized guidance and recommendations based on an individual’s unique constitution and the severity of postpartum depression symptoms.
